Frequently asked questions
The marker-based workflow, explained.
What audio formats can I import?
M4A, WAV, AIFF, MP3, CAF — anything AVAudioFile can decode. Files load directly from your recordings or via the Files app.
How does the marker system work?
Tap the marker button during playback or while paused to drop a marker at the playhead. Markers auto-label A–Z (max 26 per recording). Drag to reposition, long-press to delete.
What's the difference between Cut and Clip?
Cut removes a range from the output (the original is never touched). Clip keeps a range and exports it as a separate file. Both operate on a range defined by two markers.
Are filters destructive?
No. All processing is offline and non-destructive. Your original recording is never modified — the export creates a new file with all your edits and filters baked in.
How do I export?
Tap Export. The edited main file plus any clipped segments are rendered as separate M4A files and offered to the iOS share sheet.
Why does Time Pitch sound a bit different from real-time playback?
Real-time playback uses Apple's lower-latency varispeed. The export uses the higher-quality TimePitch unit, which is artifact-free but slightly different in character. Always trust the export.
How do I restore my purchases?
Open the app → Settings → Restore Purchases.
